I've noticed images getting shuffled around on the site. First the icon on the top left of each post box (above the postbit) changed to the AIM icon. Then Rob's avatar became a stretched version of the multiquote button. I figured maybe after a few days of that I should clear my cache and see if it fixed it. It did, but now I see my avatar as the 'quote' button.

Maybe this is related to me using http pipelining.. but it hasn't affected any other sites.

reduces network load while at the same time speeding up page loads.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_pipelining

this image pretty much sums it up:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fb/HTTP_pipelining.svg/400px-HTTP_pipelining.svg.png

but on the right side.. those three requests can actually be one single packet.

Firefox has support for it --go to about:config, type in 'network.http.pipelining' as the filter. Set it to true. The option below that is the number of requests that it will send before waiting for a response. It is a nice implementation of it too, because it knows when you are connecting to an IIS server and turns it off.

With the wealth of apache/php/mysql/vbulletin sites I visit I would imagine at least one other would exhibit this behavior.. maybe I'll have to use a firefox extension with blacklist ability to handle http pipelining.

Yeah, try blacklisting us, kansei. I'm guessing that's your issue.
