Great review with really funny writing ("carbon fibre tongue depressors") and some original thoughts. Most of the other reviews I've seen have spent half the words trying to explain what the acronyms.

FWIW, (although I obviously haven't driven the X) I agree with his statements regarding TC-SST VS. 5mt. Having said that, I'm willing to give the MR a chance.

I wonder if the reviewer tried to use the paddles to shift it manually... His complaints seem to be directed towards the auto modes (i.e. even S-Sport wasn't good enough)?

I agree with him in that any time you use electronics and sensors to anticipate what a driver might do, something in the experience of driving gets lost.

I agree too. But in my case, my gf will be driving it sometimes and this is a compromise for her lousy driving. Plus I want the wheels, suspension, HIDs, spoiler, and seat fabric that you get w the MR.

He did, because he mentioned that it would upshift at times that he wouldn't.

Sounds like he didn't use the SST in maual mode cause it won't shift for you. I think the only way to measure the SST is to drive it for urself because so many people are saying different things. In one review the guy said the SST shifted everytime he would have and this guy is saying something different. A car should match it's driver meaning not every car for every person.

Ya, I remember watching a lot of reviews saying how they would pick the SST over the manual and it changes gears exactly where he wanted it.
