Ok so, can someone explain how to get started ( i know nothing on this ).
What material i need, where can i buy it? Is it reserved to the elite tuner? Like i am good with a computer but damn i never played with my car ECU!!
Can you do a DIY on this one it may help alot of ppl who are interesting in ECUFlash but are afraid to play with the ECU and dont know how to get started ( like what cable i need, what program etc etc etc... )
Thanks Alot!! :)

Spend some time reading through this thread. http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11041
You will need a tactrix cable to plug into your car and connect to your laptop
You will need a laptop...
You will need to download and install the program to your laptop
Most people will say you should also get all the appropriate sensors to monitor your tune.. boostguage, wideband, datalogging, (even before you start playing).
Before you start make sure you backup your existing tune so you can revert to it. I would also incrementally back up your tunes as you play..
Personally I am going with EcuFlash, but I am getting a professional tuner to set me up first with my first collection of tunes on a Dyno (valet, economy street, fast street/fast track) before I start playing with it myself.. (well thats the plan anyway).
You can roadtune, but a dyno tune gives you better tuning conditions IMO

go to tactrix.com and order the 2.0 cable, that the only one that will work for the evo x, its 169.99 and anywhere else that sells it is 10-20 bucks more

After you order your cable, (and are waiting for it to come), start deconstructing the ROMS that are posted. Load them up in ECUFlash and compare them with the stock GSR Roms out there and try to understand what is changing. And if you don't know what it does, ask! Over on the "other" EVO forum, in the EVO 9 section I believe, is a rather lengthy discussion/writeup on ECUFlash and what different parameters are. While the values don't necessarily translate over to our EVO X, it is a VERY good place to start!

I just spent a couple hours yesterday playing with an evo ix rom on ecuflash. I don't completely understand all the values, but I'm on a mission to get good at it.

here is a really nice write up, its for an EVO 9 though, so dont use the values he has.
