: Laptop for tuning

Ok Im about to order my tactrix cable I already have a laptop but I want to buy another one just for tuning new or used any recommendations????

The only recommendation i would make is to get one with a serial port. If your going to be tuning, chances are you will want an AFR gauge as well. Those seem to only be available with logging output to serial interfaces. There are usb-to-serial cables you can get, but i just personally have had tough times with them. i have a dell latitude d820 that i use, much to big for logging really, but has serial.

I was at the store the other day with a friend who bought an Acer Aspire One to tune with in his STI. It is really small and cheap. I think he paid 329 for it at the BX.

I messed around with his for awhile at the starbucks and it is actually a decent little computer for surfing the net and tuning.

I think any Netbook would be good (no serial port, but most don't have it). I've been looking at the Lenovo S10 myself since it has a 10" screen (8 is just too small for my eyes).
