Please is there any way to prevent the car from going into limp mode or shoot SES at part throttle?
If it can help i've noticed that limp mode will occur only when my HKS BOV is installed. If i go back to stock BPV it will only shoot the SES.
I guess that the spring in the hks BOV is really tight and under certain conditions as part throttle the way it closes the valve will cause some kind of over boost. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

do you have any other after market parts yet, if not a tune will be best as you can have your boost cut changed, and if you dont have the evo x hks bov kit, then i would say look for that one, that seems to be the only after market bov that works right now for our cars. other than that you shouldnt have any problems yet since your car seems stock.

i'd stick with stock bov, cant really beat it and it works!!! i mean your having problems with the other and no problems with the stock!! dont risk hurtin your car or anything

Ryanowarrior, honestly i know it's ricey but my wife and i really like the sound of the hks bov vta and that's the reason we would like to figure it out.

EVOX08, i've updated my sig. From all i read i believe the part throttle problem is from the mix of EBC and HKS BOV.

So your car runs fine with ECUflash and an EBC?

then you really just need the proper tune done, the hks ssqv should work just as good as the stock unless its not the evo x specific kit, even if it is and you have recirc kit as well you should still here the awesome whistle from it, i feel the same way about my greddy type s but the stock works well beyond belief so i had to put it back on and im running 28#s with absolutely no problems, vs the type s bov were i would get the boost spike/ limp mode problems

The BOV and the combination of MBC show an increase in low throttle airflow when it "blows off". With the type of checks and balances the stock rom has it will take some trial and error in the airflow mapping to regulate it. But it will work.
