Military family here moving back home to San Antonio and looking for a good tuning shop. I googled it and can't seem to find any. The closest thing i found was a shop in Austin. Any Evo owners in South Texas know any good tuner shops in the SA area.

well ams and br come down sometimes. I hate to tell you the bad news but there is none that i know. there is a place called precision R that did the older evo's. Not sure if they work on the 10 I dont think they have a in shop dyno or anything and when they did tune it was purely street tunning

but welcome to San Antonio

we really should get all the san antonio evos togetherfor a photo shoot or something

There isn't much to go for in San Antonio. Right know I am trying to get a tune at Cobb for the 20th but they can't make any time for me, so I am a little disappointed. But chris from AMS and Al from dynoflash come down everyonce in awhile. Check texasracers.com and they have some stuff on there about San Antonio.

Are you going to be stationed on Lackland. If so there are about 5 Evo 10s and 1 2009 RA that I have seen . Three in my building that I work with.

Wife is being stationed there (again). I was in Security Forces when we first lived there, and then became a nurse at Big Willy, now I do computer forensics for the Govt.

Damn, three Evos parked at the same bldg on base? wow! I am thinking about getting the COBB AP, and going to Austin to have them tune it for my car after I get some bolt ons put on it. Maybe we can all set it up so they will make time for us. We are at Kirtland right now and I was all complaining about not having tuners here and thought for sure SA would have a bunch. Shoot they only carry 91 octane here and the elevation is a killer. I was at lackland's main shopette and saw they had 93 octane and almost wet myself and for cheaper than what i pay for 91.

So with lower elevation and higher octane, i know my I will enjoy my car alot more.

Will you be able to run all your mods with the AP? esp. the intake?

I thought the AP was very picky on what intake you could use with it. Shoot if you can get it to work with your intake ..i'm going that route myself.

I still plan to go the custom route down the road. I am going to install it and make sure my AEM wideband is saying it's running to lean, if so I will just take the AEM off and wait on the wastegate. But I already have the cobb tuning software on my computer so I may see if I can adjust it myself or have a local tuner that tuned my redline take a look at it. I'm sure the tuning of a supercharged redline is near the same or has the same basics as tuning a turbo'd mitsu.

You could always drive to Dallas and get an AP tune from Cobb. KevinD is also there, but he isn't ready to tune Evo X's yet.
