We modded it but one of my roommates insisted on plugging it in while it was open. Needless to say 6 months down the road she crashed. I'll buy another one and mod it again. Too many crap games but if have one I like I'll go out and buy it.

I still haven't seen proof that they haven't with the new models. I'm not about to open mine to check though.

I'm happy with the console now that I discovered that one of the free games it came with.. totally amazing. Forza 2 --I do declare it far superior to Gran Turismo 4. Only grips I have is that it does still have a system to let you rice the car out with decals and shit, and that the one race I played online was horrific. Damage was on (I leave it on full sim damage because well.. I play the game for the sim) and everyone was just smashing into eachother and the walls, just basically not using the brakes at all. Any time I'd brake right before/at a corner I'd have a few cars smash into the back of me, sending me head on into a wall, really f-ing up my car and making it way difficult to finish the race.

I hope not everyone online is a bunch of tards :P

I figured as much. The 'online' in GT4 was.. a joke, like any PS2 online stuff was.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the online integration in all the games... Forza2 posts all of your race times (i.e. in career mode even) to online scoreboards, you can easily check where you stand overall and among your friends, etc. They did a great job with the whole Live environment really.

Forza 2 online with random people = awful

Forza 2 online with only friends = awesome

I've never had good luck playing Forza2 online.. everyone is always way stupid and only wants to race with R3 class cars with auto transmissions, no damage, all traction aids turned on, etc and they're all a bunch of n00bs :P
