: Are Tuners Working on the X?

OK I am new to the Evo world but definitely thinking about an X. I'd like to get an MR with the TC-SST. I'm a little down on the power/weight ration and I'd like to look into some simple, bulletproof tuning that might get the car up into the 340 hp range, hopefully enough to run 0-60 in under 5 and a 1/4 mile ideally in the 12.9-13.0 range.

Does anyone know whether the big Tuners (Vishnu, Buschur, etc) are already working on packages for these vehicles?

Im sure alot of tuners in Japan have already started working on the car.

AMS and Bushur are waiting for the car like everyone else.

I havent seen anything from any of the big tuners or any parts that will be available from any of the major aftermarket companies yet.(other than a cwest bodykit drawing i saw on here) Im sure they all have to wait just like the rest of us till the X hits the streets.

I guarantee you that large tuning outfits will be working on their Evo X catalog. It's a car with a huge potential and a big market.

Also, don't discount the smaller guys who will be making parts, such as SpeedCircuit. ;)

I was told in by a tuner in the know what I could up the stock 206kws to about 250kws with just some ECU reflashing nothing else. *gulp*

Anything more will be gained with the usual mods.

So sub 5 secs shouldnt be a problem with mild mods. I'm personally considering a very very safe and mild 400HP tune. Just building ideas at the moment and keeping an eye on tuners over the next couple of months.

Any mods for the SST?

As long as the SST can hold the torque any mods for the 5MT should be interchangeable right?

I didn't hear it until he was on the straight. Probably because he exceeded the speed of sound.

It sounds pretty decent for a 4 banger.
