just got a RR evo x MR, wondering if i extended the intake ducting right to top opening of front grille if id benefit. i see some people replace that exterior plastic piece right in front of the hood and on top of grill with a piece that already has cutout. just dont want to spend money. any help would be appreciated.

I noticed the radiator plate does have a plastic plate blocking the air intake path, (so that you don't get water ingestion or something like that I'm guessing...I was thinking of cutting it off and putting a finer mesh to catch water spray. Haven't gotten around to it yet though. I'm guessing it won't make much difference. Maybe lean out the AFR by like, 0.05 to 0.1. LOL!

i think whatever inside that engine bay is right and just functional. removing a few things thinking it might create more airflow.... might only. i think it might create more turbulance of air inside the engine bay.
