Hey guys/girls,

I bought some CF patterned vinyl to make a shift boot for my BF & ended up making a few more. The fabric is about 1mm thick & is a charcoal color. It's supposed to be stain resistant, water repellant, & can take some weather/sun abuse since it was originally meant for upholstery for boats. The quality is much, much better over the stock boot. The fit is also perfect, since I did an excellent cutting job :-P Anyways, I'm selling them for $10 each + shipping (so approximately $15 total) < special evoxforums price ;). Canadians are welcomed to PM me for shipping quotes as well.

how do you take the monies? paypal? is it hard to "install" (I tryed for an hour to get my center console out of the car and ended up breaking a bunch of plastic tabs trying to do it..)

you should use USPS flat rate stuff, or priority mail, super cheap :D

I'll take one, I dont like CF so much, but what ever cheapocrap the stock one is made out of has GOT TOGO!


oh, and FYI vinyl is a plastic product, so its totaly stain proof and 100% water resistant (water proof?) though direct sunlight can get mean to it over time, just like all plastics.

^I actually think my handwriting is a bit sloppy, but oh well.

Hey, I'm glad to hear all the positive feedback on this, since the boot is in my car. I think it turned out great. Anyone who grabs this good deal while they can will be glad they did.

EDIT: Hmm, I actually just re-thought this. The boot would be smaller in all directions. The MR boot is not as wide, long, or tall as the GSR boot. I don't want to rip out my boot, since I really like the way it looks. It wont easily work out.

Waaaah... Oh well... :( Well if I do the project Iheartevo has posted I will just use some leftover fabric from that to make the boot.

Be careful doing the boot in the same material. I thought about that & asked "Viciouz" on evom about that. He said that the fabric would be too thin. The next day, he posted a thread where he made a boot out of that very material & said that he didn't like the outcome. Here's his pic: http://forums.evolutionm.net/6819046-post1.html It has a lot of folds because of the fabric's lack in thickness.

Also, 2 out of the 5 remaining will be discounted to $5/each + shipping. The reason is that the CF pattern doesn't perfectly line up on either side, which erks me. It wont really be noticeable when installed, but I thought you guys should know. If anyone wants these discounted ones, make sure to let me know that you specifically want them.

^Sorry, I don't. This is the material my BF wanted for his, so that's what they're made from.

Price drop on slightly miss-aligned patterned boots, now $5 (+ shipping). Check the pics in post #21, it's just really me being picky.
