that is a pretty good deal. I got mine used from evom.com for $550 shipped. The guy didn't even use it so I lucked out.

Those are all good deals, I believe most authorized resellers contract with Cobb and are forced to offer at the same price they do (695) so that's not bad. Everyone's been recommending to shell out the extra hundred or so for Perrin or equivalent 3rd party maps though.

If you're going custom tune won't matter take the deal :)

yeah i can see that. the only reason im getting this one for cheaper is cause im getting a custom tune anyway

With the Access Port, I can get a tune from a certified AP tuner, and when I have to take it back to the dealer for warranty purposes, I can change the ECU map back to normal, correct? Now isn't there something like a boost pill or something like that? The ECU flashing guys put something which hides the new map from the dealer, so you do not need to flash is back to normal. Is that correct?

can you explain how you did this? I must be an idiot but I've been trying to use the live thing forever to get discounts and I can't seem to figure it out.

I go to www.live.com (http://www.live.com) and then search for accessport, ap, ap evo x, cobb ap evo x... what ever. And all i get is basically search engine results...

So what did you do, or what steps did you take, to find the AP on sale through maperformance so that it would include the live discount...?

ok so go to live.com... and search for cobb accessport and you will see a result for ebay up top with a golden coin on it... you will need a live account etc... so log into ebay... and you will see that maperformance has a shop... they have an evo x version (mit -2) and you will get the 14% off w/ that as long as you use paypal

no... I just had my 15k service done on the car and it was just shy of $500. I was gonna have them change the transmission fluid while they were at it but that would have been an additional $300....

so instead i'ma learn to change the transmission fluid myself! lol. But yeah, wasn't expecting the 15k service to be that much... ouch.

:hijacked: dang, $500??? ouch- mine is due (well, a lil past due). What did they do or does it involve??? Can ya PM me? or anyone that has had the 15,000 mile service done. $300 for trans fluid?? is this a GSR or MR?? Thanks

GSR... well I had a coupon for a free oil change which brought the price to $400, cause an oil change is $80 something.

I'll scan the service bill or whatever so you can see what is done. They replace the PCV valve, air filter, wiper blades, rotate tires, check brakes, check trans fluid... can't remember it all.

Wow thats a crazy bill

When I had my front/rear brake pads changed on the Z (brembos) it was like 5-600 and i was like :omg:

I remember telling them to throw syn oil in the motor and I read the bill ($10 a quart!!!) Stealership is the best word....

I dont have a garage or my tools so I have had to rely on them and its been $$$$....$300 for trans fluid sounds like highway robbery though...check around your local speed shops to see what they charge for fluid changes...bet its like HALF that or less
