Sup guys. I posted this on ClubLexus and EvolutionM.net, and kooldino asked me to share it with you guys here.

On June 1 around 2:30pm, I was on the 605 freeway heading North, near Cerritos Auto Square. I spotted this weird looking EVO-VIII, the weird interior caught my eyes. RHD, some mechanical differences from EVO-VIII.

Before I merged onto the 91 freeway, I snapped a few pics with my trusted DC (I always keep it handy in my car now). Here are the pics:

It seemed like an EVO-X but with EVO-VIII sheet metals. We had a bunch of discussion over at ClubLexus and EvolutionM.net, and basically we've concluded that this is an EVO-X drivetrain mule. It is the same car that was tested on the Nurburgring last year.

I'm not sure if it's an X interior, but most people on the forums say it is the new Lancer interior.

The close-up picture that I posted is the biggest it can get. My camera was set to 5MP, and the car was probably 20ft away from my car.

These were taken on the 605 freeway northbound, about 1/4 mile away from connecting to the 91 freeway. In case you don't live around where I live, this is in SoCal.

BTW about 4 years ago I spotted an EVO VII in the Mitsubishi National HQ in Cypress, CA. I live about 15 min away from there. That was when EVO VII just came out in Japan too :)

thats awsome, from the look i can only really see the steering wheel but it looks like it has the leather steering wheel like my car and the navi system. may be my old eyes :freak: just moving around and makin me see shit but it could be...nice find!
