Under WOT, under boost, i notice kind of a chattering or warbling sound. It sounds like turbo whine, but with a quick, choppy tempo. I have two theories
) that my BOV is not holding my boost levels and chattering at the limit.
B) my turbo is crapping out
Any thoughts?
A slight loss in performance I think- Not sure. It is still quick.

was this a recent development?
what have you changed in the car recently?
which gear/rpm does it kick in?

It's slight compressor surge. It will happen any time you build high enough pressure without the capacity for the engine to flow it. This happens at low RPM, full spool in 5th gear where the engine simply cannot flow the extra boost pressure. Simple explanation, I know. Check out this article and the compressor map to understand better: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/tech_center/turbo_tech103.html When you hear this chattering, you're above that surge line at a relatively low mass flow value on the X-axis.

I hear this at WOT under hard boost. seems like the fat part of the tourque curve really. so my engine is unable to exhaust as much air as it is taking in? hmmm....all i have is a cone filter mod and 1.5 turns on my wastegate. but had that for about a month. ill look it over and maybe swith back to stock tommorow.

Could you make a video of the sound for us to hear?
Maybe its your BOV chattering.

increasing the turns on my wastegate should firm it up if that is the case correct?
or is this a direct issue with the BOV? Read about "crushing" the BOV, is there a pictorial of this anywhere?

no, they aren't related. So tightening something thats in no way connected, wouldnt stop it
