all good. they're not much different. (seriously)
Different mesh grill
STI badge on the front mesh
slightly different front spotlight holders
slightly wider kit.
mirrors have an euro style indicator built in.
I have a mate who's about to buy one, will take side by side photos when possible.

I think they thought this would appeal to the general public, the love child of a Mazda3, Corrola, Ford Focus, etc. You are right, there has never been a good looking Impreza, and to most Subie fans that is OK. They eventually start to grow on you.
I should have known the difference based on the LICENCE PLATE, and then the fenders!
