Just an FYI, that a few of us from the Colorado Evo forums (www.coloradoevos.com) (http://www.coloradoevos.com)couple) are heading out to the new High Plains Raceway track in Colorado this Friday. It's in Byers, CO, about an hour east of Denver off of I-70. See directions and track info here (www.highplainsraceway.com (http://www.highplainsraceway.com)).

It's an open lapping day, so all car makes and models are welcome. They have specific rules that you should read (i.e., helmets required, etc) at http://www.highplainsraceway.com/pdf/HPR-Lapping-Day-Policies.pdf.

If you sign up online it costs $150 for a full day, $90 for a half day ($10 more if you pay at the track). Facilities are limited there right now (just opened a month or two ago) so I'd recommend bringing a cooler with drinks, lunch, etc.

Also, there is a vintage racing event on Saturday & Sunday, so make a weekend of it!

Sounds Like fun.

Yeah, it should be a lot of fun. Here are some videos if you are unfamiliar with the track:

A static view of Turn 8 at the open lapping day/ Porsche Track Initiation Day from a few weeks ago. I counted roughly 25 cars on the track (the first car and the last car are the same BMW 5 series and you see that Porsche LeMans twice as well).

I would but it's to soon for me to get time off so I'll probably catch the next one. On the upside at least I'm getting my new exhaust installed this weekend.:godance:
