Hey,

I'm going to be down in the Fullerton area & am trying to plan & figure out what shop to have detail my X. So far, the only good shop that I could find is Allure Auto Detail, but their site says $225 for interior & exterior detail. Here in Boise, I've paid $150 for full details, so $200+ seems quite expensive to me. Can anyone tell me about some other good shops near Fullerton that wont put a huge dent in my pocket?

Does $225 seem reasonable for this?
• Hand wash & air blow dry
• MACHINE POLISH to remove minor scratches & surface imperfections (the orbital buffer we use does not create swirls)
• DETAIL CLAY to decontaminate paint surface with premium for a baby smooth finish
• PROFESSIONAL WAX for shine
• SHAMPOO CLEAN INTERIOR to remove dirt and minor stains
• Clean wheels & dress tires
• Clean & detail door jambs & dash
• Shampoo carpets & floor mats
• Condition leather & vinyl interior surfaces
• Vacuum interior & trunk
• Clean air vents compartments & trim
• Polish windows & mirrors
• Clean windows inside & out

Thanks in advance for your help

thats alot of hard work there, i'd say if all these thing were carried out with excellent quality it would be worth the $225.

Yeah, it is hard work for sure. It's just that I've paid $150 for the exact same thing, here in Boise.

isn't every thing more expensive in cali? real estate for sure, cost of living ect? Like i said, i think it will come down to the quality of work to decide if its worth the + $75 bucks compared to in ID.

^For sure. I used to live in NorCal, so I know how expensive things can be. I was just hoping for someone to know a guy that does this stuff on the side, or a recommended shop, since I have absolutely no reference for shops down there. I mean, the shop I'm talking about has a few customer testimonies & such, but I'd like to know of people on here w/ personal experiences, etc. If $225 is a going rate, then that's just what I'll have to pay, but obviously less is better :D

Part of the fun of having this car is getting to rub and caress every inch of her now and then. I cant imagine letting someone else clean her much less paying somebody $225 bucks to do it! That could by some parts!!!
Hope it turns out perfect for you.

150$ I wouldn't even get outta bed LOL

That list if done well would take a single guy over 8 HRS.. At 8 HRS would be 18.75 an hour.. At 225$ would be 28.12 an hour, and that would just be labor. Also you have to minus products and such.

Ask how long it will take and see what they say... Also ask then which products they use...

I actually found a good detailer about 15 minutes from where I'll be staying in LA, thanks to WRXEATER. & it's going to be about $190 for the same things the other shop was listing.
