Has anyone experienced this in the MR? I am driving onto an onramp and gun it from 1st in auto sport or s-sport mode, it goes all the way to the rev limiter and bounces off for a second or two before shifting into second or third occasionaly. I am wondering if i raise the rev limiter to 8K if it will eliminate this problem and shift before hitting "the wall" making it much quicker in auto mode. Anyone tried this? Easy enough to change the rev limit with ECUflash.

How long have you had those mods on your car? Your SST ECU is trying to cope with the extra power your mods has provided, so it will go away eventually. At least that was what happened to me...even worst, the car SST felt like it was slipping sometimes, but not anymore.

The mods were installed with about 150 miles on the ODO. I have 1300 miles now. What do you think about bumping the rev limit so it will shift before it breaks up at the rev limiter?

That's odd...that should only happen once or twice. At least it does on mine...it must have an adjustment somewhere for timing the shift. I'm guessing the TCU doesn't just rely on RPM for shift signal. But this is all postulating on my behalf...maybe gunzo can fill us in...

G-Tuned!
Thanks gunzo!

OMG .. G-Tuned :bowlol:
you really did it ..

TCU uses speed / TPS to determine shift points ..
ECU uses rpm / TPS to determine engagement points ..

If everything is setup right .. you'll not get any delay in shifting .. otherwise it takes a while to learn like the rest mentioned ..
