What an embarrassment for the Mustang. Perfect example of why "old school muscle" is a bit tired and needs to evolve already.

A few points:

-According to the video, the Stang ran a 13.7 quarter mile, and a 0-60 in the low 5s. This is probably about what the X will be running.

-The STi ran a 72mph slalom - very nice. Let's hope that the X can match that.

-The STi ran a .9G skidpad...which is kind of disappointing.

-The car that your average joe would see as "ricey" has a functional hood scoop, where as the one they'd typically see as "badass" has one that's just for show. Lawl.

yeah the shelby needs a independent suspension instead of a solid rear axle like the import for better handling.the car was made for strait lines and not twisties.also its heavy and lacks alot new technology.

For a car that can ONLY do straight lines well, it should at least be better than the STi at that.

true.wait if it in fact was said that it performed at the level of the viper and the z06 vette then the evo and sti would have no problems after mods to hadle those.but then sti is awd and will always have you out of the hole as to rwd.

I drive a low 11 sec mustang and the only cars I dont like to line up to on the street much are STIs and EVOs. They are FAST. I have alot of respect for them.
But EVOs look a lot nicer than STIs.
