Hey guys. Rick here from Spaz Chicken Productions. I got an email from one of my best clients (Kooldino) asking me if I wanted to swing over here and try to hook you guys up with a logo and eventually some swag. (thanks Dino).

So here I am. I've been playing around with the idea a bit. I'm not 100% on any of these ideas, they were just what came up while I was doodling.

in general, i think it's important that the word "forums" be included so as to avoid confusion with the actual car model. so that eliminates the last two for me.

i think the second one is the most artistically creative and is therefore my fave. but, thinking practically, i think the top one should be used.

I kind of like the first one, but I think I prefer the font from the 2nd.

Also, I think I'd like a ".com" thrown in there somewhere too, so it would work well for decals and such. What do you guys think?

I think the fourth one down on the left works very well as a forum logo, extended as a web banner, as a decal (since nothing would need to overlap .. no intricate interfaces between colors).. looks nice and clean. Maybe to make it more agressive as people have mentioned, you could square off the "E" on that one.

Thanks guys. As mentioned, there are a lot of factors to consider when doing a forum logo (namely that it will have to be able to stand up to a ton of different uses).

I'll fiddle with the ones people seem to like the most and see if I can't nail something down.

Rick: props on your logos always being nice and clean.. I HATE seeing hard to read logos or logos that look like they were once decent but some intern came a long and blinged them out.

Yeah, I definitely prefer the more squared-off "e". Honestly, I prefer the font used on the 2nd one from the top of the left (you have to number these or something for easy reference!)

Anyway, that font is more aggressive, and I like it. Think it'd work on the 1st one too?

as for numbering the logos.. yeah, but this is more fun. he can re-arrange the JPEG and really screw up this thread (like he already has once :P ).

aw how cute it matches the 'stock' vbulletin theme. I think a theme with some nice red (like the X concept photos) would be sweetness

There isn't an evo font is there.. I know I've seen it done sorta scripty on some evos, block lettering on others..

Yeah, obviously the colors would be changed to match the forum colors...

and yes, the original curvy "E" I was using up at the top was the EVO font. I took it directly from the JDM evolution pdf manual. Although it was not form an evoX manual. I think it was an 8 or 9.

The logo needs to be able to stand by itself. It's fine to put a car with the logo in a banner and such. But the logo need to be able to work by itself in a vast number of applications.

I have no control over the forum colors... That's just a photoshop manipulation, but once you guys are happy with the banner/logo artwork I'll shoot it over to Dino.

This is definitely my favorite so far. As for the middle image, can you try writing the "forums.com" in the same font as "evo", or something similar?

Counting from the top, I like #1, #3, and #4.

I think they're all perfectly usable, just in different situations. Also, a #4 sans the car would work well for decals.

I found a ton but.. I'm not on vbulletin.org so I can't look at them.. first couple results when I googled for 'vbulletin buttons packs red' came up with a bunch

Thanks. It was tough to find a balance, and I still have a little bit yet to tweak, but I think it works well over all. Easy on the eyes, and unique. I hated confusing this with the mazda forums at a glance, being as I always have them both open.
