So I went to the track today and i staged and every thing. I engaged the 2step and it was working but then it let go is the only way I can call it then it free reved to 7300rpm and didn't want to come back down. So i sat at the tree for like 5 seconds until it slowly came down to 6000rpm and i slip the clutch to get it going. Which my clutch wasn't very happy about that It happen twice today. So the rest of the day my car smelt like clutch I ran a few times after that my best was 13.5 at 103 with a 1.9 60ft. So can any body explained what happen. Every time I lauched the car after that It just spun the tire then bogged. My slowest today was 13.9.

:wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign: Happened

Can you give us more details about your mods, estimated trq, etc?

It sounds like you are saying it was holding at 5500 but then you "popped" the clutch and instead of engaging it free reved to 7300 before catching...

I don't have the manual I have the MR. But from what I have read on the boards, you aren't supposed to "pop" the clutch you are just supposed to disengage quickly... If your trq is high enough you might need a new clutch.

No the clutch was fully pressed in when this happened. This is exactly what happened the second stage light came on then I started the two step by the second amber light came on my car free revved to 7600rpm or 7300rpm and didn't want to come back down for a few seconds. I had my foot all the way off the gas and the Rpm just stayed there for a few seconds.

My only Mod I have on the car is an Ams intake

Nope it happen twice. All the other times I engage the 2step really late at the first amber light. That doesn't work that well because it not enough time for the car to build boost

I guaranty that they wouldn't even know what the 2step was.

No I don't think so. If it would of rolled I would of set off the tree and throw a red light

If you rolled far enough it would .. but if you rolled the tiniest bit ..try hitting two step on flat ground with the ebrake up (don't launch it haha)

2 step can be engaged and works great without doing this.

Because I had Mazdaspeed3 for 2year that was fully bolt on and make 320hp. I use to kill evo all the time so my screen name on the mazda forums was ms3=evokilla. So it seems fit to call my self evo=ms3killa Because now i'm going to start killing ms3.

Do you have an upgraded clutch? If so, maybe something was done incorrectly

You glazed the clutch. Using the 2-Step with the OEM clutch causes extreme heat on the pressure plate. Once over-heated, the surface becomes smooth and cannot grab properly. The clutch was slipping. Crappy 60ft and horrible smell.
