thing i hate here....it's just sad.
1. if there is an accident like that the race should be stop, i mean stop, there should be an effective way to stop all the cars because those worker's gonna die while helping.
2. still they are not equip to kill those fire those fire extinguisher are not enough. they need to use those big guns. there is a way for that for sure.
3. i hope the cars are built for easy pull out of the driver.
4. cars should be equip with self fire extinguisher even the suite of the driver should have a self fire extinguisher.
by big guns do you mean like a halon? they are huge. they are what we use on Aircraft

There should be a safety feature which would automatically stop fuel transfer and shut the engine down during collision, well anything to help stop the fire sparking and spreading.
yeah but theres not. anything can happen

that's another thing because that other car is not on fire yet for at least 2min, that will save him. those guns use to kill aviation fuel.
and please a real fireman with extensive training... like this. look at htem how easy they take that out.

They're professional drivers. They are fully aware of the risks they put themselves in every time they get onto the track.
IMHO, no safety feature ever made could possibly work well on formula cars. They completely shred to pieces when they wreck.

if it's makes you think what could happen, then its already worth it to post.

Awakening and saddening at the same time. thoughts and prayer to them and their families. Unfortunately I have lost a few friends in this manner. One of them was at my house hanging out a half hour before his civic hatch wrapped around a telephone pole at 130mph.Never a fun realization

safety has come a long way from the old days of motorsport thanks in part to sir jackie stewart and professor sid watkins to name a few. i highly recommend the book life at the limit: triumph and tragedy in formula one if this interests you
