This phone is pretty slick. Wish it was bigger though.

Don't feel so bad...I dealt with a lackluster treo for the past couple of years.

They will not let you just upgrade for a fee? That's horseshit.

It's probably the best phone I've ever used. I also really like the T-Mobile G1, I just don't like T-Mobile around here.

Pros and cons please :)

Pros:

-Bar none, the best phone OS and interface I've ever used. Android is a very close second. Everything is extremely well thought out and very well integrated.

See here for a nice demo: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10935&highlight=palm

-Wifi built in in case you're near a hotspot

-True Multitasking!

-App store

-Sleek and sexy

-I could go on all day. It's truly a great phone.

-Slide out keyboard.

Cons

- No removable storage (although it can hook to a PC via USB as an 8GB flash drive)

-I wish it was a tad larger (I have big hands)

-Could use longer battery life

Pics:

They all look the same, so here's a generic pic of one next to an iPhone:

I've used the storm, and it's solid, but this thing blows it out of the water.

What are they doing with the storm 2?

storm 2 supposedly will get rid of the click technology where the screen actually presses down into the phone.

Oh they will, but they want me to get rid of my Sero 30 buck plan with everything :wackoff: fat chance that's going to happen.

I will wait till next year, most likely will have better suport and maybe Sprint will let me keep my ultra cheap plan with it. :neener:

For those of you that like your storm. Have you os's in the 140's, and above?

Cause if not your missing out on a whole different device. The browser only started getting better in the mid 115's. Also chuck your vzw nav cause it really eats the phone up.

To me Verizon waited 6 months for a default os update to me that's bad cs. Should i have to visit underground forums, and flash new os's every week to get the device to what it should have been released with its full potential.

The storm 2 is slated for a Sept or October release. The most major changes are that the screen no longer rests or clicks on the internal bb trackball, but instead it is touch, and heat sensitive. Gone are the send, blackberry, back, and end buttons ditched in favor for more touch, heat sensitive glass. It is also going to have wifi now despite verizons network which orders almost all phones without wifi on purpose. This pissed of alot of potential storm buyers. The device is styled differently with more of a bb Bold 9000 look around the edges.

Also check the crackberry forums for more info. Crucial xtreme is pretty good with beta info there, but he can only say so much.

But back for more pre awesomeness!
