: Auto Park delearship Buyers beware!
unotice 06-17-2009, 06:45 PM I have to start off by saying never buy a car from this dealership. They sell cars that don't run properly and then try to pass the blame on somebody else. After you buy a car from them they treat you like garbge. There customer service is shit!
I bought my evo off them in Feb. When I took it for a test drive the car was acting up a bit it. They all said it was because it needed to be P.D.I. So because it was a new car i said what could be wrong with it so I took there word.
The second day I had it the car seem slow and the check engine light came on. So I took it in and it was a saying the Catilatic converter was faulty. All the did was rest the code. I brought it back 2 months later after I installed my bov to see why the check engine light was still coming on and they said my cat was burnt out and the blamed it on the bov. (The tech's don't know what they are doing) They said that since they hear the swoosh sound it made my car run rich and burnt it out.
To make a long story short. They red flaged my car and voided my whole warranty on my car.
From the very begining they sold me a car with a burt out cat that was not boosting properly.
On top of that they charged me $400 for the P.D.I that was never done.
Didn't give me my $100.00 that was part of the deal so I can buy a mitsubishi jacked.
Didn't put the ownership of the car in the right name.
And they are now avoiding my phone calls. and when i show up they act all surprised and say we are trying to take care of it.
And now want to blame the gauges that i put in car for any other problems I might have in the future.
I can not stress this enough. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER EVER buy a car from these guys.
Any help on this situation would be good
Thanks.
ak47m203 06-17-2009, 06:51 PM where is this place????:omg:
atombomb33 06-17-2009, 11:46 PM You agreed to let them charge you $400 for PDI? PDI is mandatory and free with all new cars. You got clowned in so many different ways by this dealership. I feel bad for you :(

unotice 06-18-2009, 04:56 AM The dealership is called
Auto park Mitsubishi
4315 North service road
Burlington ontario
L7L 4x7
(905) 331-6444
Never buy a car there. They said they could not do anything about the P.D.I. They said they were things that could not change.
I am so pissed right now!
They way I look at it is that that they will lose so much more.

:confused2: you are alive...alive!
dcpatters 06-18-2009, 05:26 AM I must have missed it, did you buy a new car or pre-owned?
xbox4414 06-18-2009, 05:31 AM I say u get all the info you can about the place, tell us a bit more, and then send the Evo X forum members to the dealership and us in the states call them. The power of forum members is unbelievable.
unotice 06-18-2009, 05:32 AM I bought the car new. It had 100km on it when I got it.
SiliconTek 06-18-2009, 05:34 AM Can you possibly post this 3 or 4 more different ways so we get the picture about the dealership?
Ray Knight 06-18-2009, 06:16 AM Wow! Is your BOV vented to atmosphere? That could cause some bad running between shifts and could mess up the AF ratio or cause stalling. But kill the cat?? no way. check into the laws! They would not be able to void the entire car warranty, only a repair that they can prove is linked to the modification. Also, they are not supposed to charge for the PDI (pre-delivery inspection). I'm sorry to hear. You got jacked! I would call the owner of the dealer or franchise if they are a big dealer and talk direct to him. Just say you want to meet him and talk to him about a service issues you are having. dont give him your name, or any background until you see him in person. The dealer principals have more interest in legalities and bad press than the service writers who generally don't give a fuck.
Ray Knight 06-18-2009, 06:18 AM I think you posted in the wrong section BTW :)
SiliconTek 06-18-2009, 06:20 AM Is it just me or does the fact that this guy has posted in ~3 threads with the same name seem to promote the idea he is trolling?
unotice 06-18-2009, 06:35 AM Not trolling Just really pissed off right now and I didn't know what section to put this thread in. Figured if I put it in two or three I would get a good response. I want to talk to the owner of the dealership but no one want to give me his name.
SiliconTek 06-18-2009, 06:39 AM Okay, I stand corrected. Sorry.

They can't and didn't Void the warranty on the whole car. They only flag the vin for warranty purposes that service managers/advisors have to call MMSCAN to authorize repairs.
Your $400 PDI probably included other stuff like possibly a block heater or wheel locks etc. PDI cost is actually posted on the window sticker.
And of course you have it in writing that they were going to give you a $100.00 for a Mitsu Jacked. whatever a "jacked" is.
Instead spending countless hours slamming dealerships in every forum, maybe spend 3 minutes looking for biggest office upstairs at autopark. That's were you'll find the owner.
The only help I can offer you is take some responsibility for your 40K+ purchase, and read your owners manual.

evo_teamx 06-18-2009, 10:49 AM I think chindian is right read your manual
dealers are so very carefull about the MODS or any kind especially if its not genuine mitsubishi upgrades they will VOID your warranty its like a bussiness. LETS SAY ITS SUCKS BUT THATS THE WAY THEY GO. Unless you bought the car with MODS on it they will honor the warranty of the car GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND.
vassili 06-18-2009, 02:42 PM brand new with 100km? i think a couple of salesmen were ripping it before you bought it. it's unacceptable for a new car to have more than maybe 50 km on it. unless they're discounting it. i got mine with 18km on it.
unotice 06-18-2009, 03:35 PM The turbosmart bov i had on the car (and now removed) recirculated and vented.
As a buisness owner myself I think a hand shake at the end of the deal with a verbal agreement should be enough to certify $100.00. Especaily ater spending $50k. But the $100 is not the major issue.
My issue is that the car was not working properly from day one. Thats my issue. Then they try to pass the buck by blaming it on the bov that I had on my car for a few days.
My question is why didn't they inspec the car properly when they did the P.D.I. to make sure the car was running the way it should.
I'm just pissed because i waited years for the evo to come to Canada and waited till i could afford one.
I tried to be the better man by trying to let them handle it but after several phone calls with no reply it came to this.
So many guys on this form have upgraded and modified there evo x 's, did the get there car's red flaged?
atombomb33 06-18-2009, 03:52 PM The question isn't "why didn't they do XYZ." The question is, why did you accept the car and drive it home knowing it had problems? I know people get excited when making a car purchase, but you should have NEVER driven that car home or signed any paperwork until everything was fixed. Or, you could have simply went to another dealership. You've gotta take some responsibility in this whole ordeal.
Why not take off your mods and take it to another dealership? Otherwise, place a call to Mitsubishi corporate. I would not mention anything about modifications - they are very strict about anything changed.

This situation is definitely unfortunate and I'm sorry for your frustrations, but I don't understand why you purchased a damaged car. Additionally everyone knows how mitsu is with their warranty policy. Why would you take the car back with the blow off valve on it? Why not just remove it?
