did you test it with a g-meter thing or at the track?

$10 says you're not in the 14s. Hit the track and show us a slip!

I guess the meter was not accurate.

Yeah...no way should the GTS be running a 14 second quarter mile.

Quarter Mile 18.23 sec @ 92 mph
0-60 9.01 sec

Should be in the high 16s, low 17s.

mines CVT but that was before i put my intake now im at i need to go to a track when i have the time.

Quarter Mile 16.42 sec @ 94 mph
0-60 8.03 sec

Quarter Mile 18.23 sec @ 92 mph
0-60 9.01 sec

18.2 @ 92? That makes zero sense. If you were running 92mph, you should be running 15s or so.

If you were running 18.2s...you should only be hitting high 70's in the MPH.

Whatever you're measuring your 1/4 mile with is way wrong.

All of this sounds about right with the exception of the 94mph.

Should be about 84mph.

Are these actual track slip times or GPS derived mumbo jumbo? Having never drag raced I might be interested in trying my stock Evo X at the Mission Raceway strip, but I'll have to put a few 1,000 km on it before I even think about doing that.

Should always wait til after the first oil change to push the car to its limits.

It was on a GPS / accelerometer. I can tell you with 100% certainty that it's far from accurate.

I bought one of those gtech meters, it was a waste of money. The 1/4 mile is somewhat accurate in the elapsed time but way off for the trap speed. At the strip I have ran a 15.5@91 MPH without launching. I figured I could run a little lower with a good launch maybe a 15.3 or 15.4. I got the meter and a botched run was 15.7 and a good/perfect run was 15.2. The traps were at like 98 mph though. So the times for me weren't too far off but the traps were.

The one that said the Lancer ran a 14.X was def. off though. I would recommend nobody buy them because they are not very accurate and they tempt you to drive like a moron on public roads to try to get a good run. Just go to the track, its alot more fun.

If you have a meter, like a GTech or an Escort G-Timer, it is better than a seat of the pants assessment of any mods you make, especially if you do not have access to a 4 wheel dyno. I have an Escort GT2 meter. The test by one of the car mags (I posted a thread about it on here previously) showed they are not too bad if calibrated properly, but there are more variables involved.

Definitely, if you want to post about your 0-60 or 1/4 mile times it should be from an actual drag strip, and show your scanned time slip, too!

Yeah my Sentra with the bolt on mods only does a 15.0 flat with Kumhos...I havent hit that since I changed tires....0-60 is in about the low 7s to high 6s range because of the automatic....Haven't been to the track in a while...>_>...
