AMS has been working hard over the past few months developing products for the new Nissan GT-R. We were fortunate enough to have one of our close friends the Lipani's (Frank and Mike) let us tear into their Japanese supercar to make it even better…and that we did! With only minimal modifications on 93 octane pump gas and stock run flat tires Mike and AMS GT-R were able to break the pump gas quarter mile record running a 10.69 @ 132!!!. What is most impressive about this time is the short list of modifications used to achieve it. To the naked eye the AMS GT-R looks stock. To those in the know it is cranking out over 600 all wheel horsepower and over 585 ft lbs of torque…all with just the following modifications:

AMS Turbo upgrade
AMS Downpipes
AMS Midpipe and prototype Catback Exhaust
Deatschwerks 800cc injectors
HKS EVC boost controller
AMS/Forged Performance tune using the Cobb Access port.
Willall transmission cooler
STOCK run flat tires

THAT'S IT!

With just those modifications we were able to run consistent 10 second passes on just pump gas in the AMS GT-R…all with only a 1.8 60 foot time on the stock run flat tires!!!!!
Look for the AMS GT-R to try and better its time by throwing on a set of lightweight 18" wheels and some drag radials in the very near future!!

Very nice guys. I bet if you put your heads together a little more you could break into the 9's on pump gas :)

I dunno if the ssp gtr is running race gas, but they did a 10.3 at 134 pass a few weeks ago.

Great job though ams

I hardly consider upgraded turbos minimal mods but congrats no less. I think on DR's that trans will be put to the test for sure. Hopefully the Lipani's have saved for a Trans build.

2 upgraded turbo a nice cheap mod wha are u nuts? gt35r evo x's are in the high tens as well cot's less to do than two new turbos for godzilla low ten's would be impressive but not high tens. and with all that power no shifting 600whp and a 132 trap is not impresive a stock vette zr1 is 630 at the crank maybe 530whp and will trap the same speed. Not impressed

That is minimal mods compared to some of the other stuff puts out. The 8 second Evo 8 and the Unlimited Time Attack car have major mods. Give it time and maybe a car of their own and I'm sure they can get crazy. Keep up the work Dan.

Good work AMS and Dan, glad to have our Willall WR35TM lubricant technology in that car protecting the transmission....and yes, it will take plenty more than that :)

No one said it was cheap. Aside from the fact that there are two turbos, that's a shorter list than what it takes the EVO to get into the 10's. While I'm sure it's a pricey set of upgrades, that really isn't a whole lot the scheme of things.
