I clean my engine bay every month by hand, with just a rag and some water on the rubber pipes... Looks as good as the day I got it, keep it clean and you wont have to use any "dressing" for it.

Seriously though, those two pics aren't even of the same car. But yes, a damp cloth and maybe some armor all type of stuff goes a long way.

i think if you neglected it really bad... you need this.
The engine bay is cleaned and then dressed. The dressing is just for the black plastic parts to make them shiney. You can do the same with any plastic dressing like "armor all" or other spray on stuff.

I wonder does it come in different flavors to match your car like italian for ferrari's, French for peugot, ranch for ford. not sure what they would use for Mitsu's

A little TLC goes a long way. I sprayed mine down and wiped everything with an armor all type product and it looked purdy!
