I am debating on weather or not to purchase a TempurPedic bed to help out with my back pain. Any body have any first hand experience with these beds and back pain?

I do, it completely got rid of my back pain. I used to get horrible pain in my lower back, I've had the tempurpedic for about two years I think, haven't had back pain since.

I did not know the current bed was screwing with my back till I had baddd back pain, And wearing a tac vest with 30lbs of shit all day at work didint help either.

So, I broke down and got a bed similiar to tempur pedic, but simmions made it. I have never slept better in my life. When I took apart my old bed it actually had about a 1/2 slope to it cause one of the sides of the wheel was missing lol.

My back pain has all but vanished.

Did you ever get your back checked out? I have a couple of bad discs. I have already done therapy, chiro and pain injections! These beds are not cheap but if it fixes my pain it's worth it!

My parents have one. They used to have a waterbed but since they moved over I haven't heard them complain about the mattress. I'm tempted to try one.

In Sleepy's, I laid on a bed that was LIKE a tempurpedic (it was a something-pedic) but better. For one, it didn't take so long to sink into and conform to your body.

I use to get bad back pains a few years ago. I had a hard bed, then went to a softer one. But after a few months, my back started to hurt again. So, I got a Select Comfort (http://www.selectcomfort.com/) bed (the sleep by numbers deal). It suits me nicely, since I sometimes I like a firmer or softer bed from time to time :) I have slept on a Tempurpedic type bed on a cruise ship, but the foam was too hard & hurt my back. I <3 my select comfort bed.

All positive so far. Looks like the modding budget will be cut down for the new bed.

I think a new bed is always worth the money you will spend on it because you cant do anything better for yourself other than get good sleep.

Bought it, didn't fix my back overnight though :(

I am going to have my spine removed if it doesn't quit hurting!!

My wife had awful backpain for years, so we got a sleepnumber bed. It pretty much cost as much as all the goddamn mods on my car, but she stopped bitching so I guess I'm happy. It's a cool bed and my German Shepherd likes it too.

if momma aint happy, nobodies happy. glad to hear your wife and so many others have had such positive results. nobody knows what back pain is until it hits them. i replace my beds every 4-5 years. even if they claim to be a 10 year or higher mattress. this next comment really isnt meant to be funny nut its the best way to describe it. my mattresses are usually all "humped out" after 4-5 years. the depression in the middle makes for poor back support. the depression will still pass the warranty crap; so i dont bother. i just replace it. i running a serta righ now. its got another year depending on traffic.

most memmory foam mattresses are crap. they last for 4-6 months(maybe what excaliber ran into). i had one warrantied and they swapped it out for a brick. i no longer buy memmory foam mattresses, that brand, or from that distributor.

my advice for mattresses, avoid memmory foam or at least too much memmory foam and dont be afraid to replace your mattress before its claimed life span.

I sleep on a temporpedic and I sleep better on it than any other bed. However, it doesn't stop my back pain. However, I believe my back paid is due to being so tight.

However, this was the best $40 bucks I spent. Roll on this at least once or twice every day. The first couple of times it will bring you near to tears. But as your back loosens up it feels awesome.

Do a search for one of these: 6" x 36" Foam Full Round Roller - Latex Free

Should show on amazon.
