: Vibration Due To Accelerating

I've been noticing when I accelerate in 2nd gear and above, when I reach higher RPMs probably around 5000, you start to feel this hard vibration on the floor. I know the S-AWC controls on these cars distribute torque independently to each wheel so I cut off all the traction controls and accelerated again and it goes away. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've also had problem when I accelerate hard and shift, the ASC cuts off and "service required" comes up. (picture below) After you cut the car off and cut it back on it goes away. So I took it to the dealership and they explained to me that when the torque converter feels to much stress it cuts off the ASC to prevent damage. Is this true?

Sounds like the dealership gave you some bs to chew on.

this is what i've had on my car for the past 4 months...my friend told me its cause i'm running spacers on my wheels...so its making the car unbalanced.... sucks though cause that is happening to me

none of what has been said so far is the problem. Looks like its a transmission issue. What the dealership is saying is total bull lol. Torque converter does not exist in a manual car.

Around 5000 rpms is just after peak torque, so this seams like a balance issue. How many miles are on the car? I would check all nuts and bolts along the transmission, transmission mounts, driveshaft.

EDIT: Seeing as it doesnt happen when AYC is fully off, it might be an issue with the drivetrain clutch packs. Evo X diffs have clutch packs within the differentials to control torque distribution. And im using that term loosely since the evo does not technically "transfer torque."

I actually got this when I over boosted to 29.5psi

I've seen this issue with overboost.

The spacers may be throwing the TPMS sensors further away or something.

I have a similar issue but I would call it more of a jerk than a vibration. I guess I need to try a pull with asc off and see if it goes away.

I have 14,000 miles and the only mods I have on my car is an intake, exhaust, BOV and springs, and I did have the car aligned after I lowered it. I don't believe its a vibration due to speed because it doesn't matter how fast you're going, it only does it around 5k rpms.

My problem ended up being the fuel pump relay. Leaned it out too much at high rpm high load. Maybe the same problem for you? easy to check.

just spoke with someone about this today and they said any issue with high rpm is known to mitsu and you will need to get it reflashed

I really doubt this is the problem, because i have had all the reflashes and this is still happening to me
