I wouldn't do it. I am sure I will get flamed but whatever. Just saying.

They are systems engineers by day, so do what you feel is right. Evo X experience totals one year as of 1 month ago. So do what you feel is right. Not to mention they do not even post here on the Evo X forums.

So... I will reserve my feelings for their tuning ability, but I will say that there's no reason for them to post here. This forum has 1/100000'th the traffic of the other forum.... Why split their time? I only visit here once every couple days at most and rarely miss anything.

Actually to clarify, Kevin is a Rocket Scientist (in the truest form of the word). The other guys are more of the "designing and building stuff in real life" than systems engineers.

Well, regardless of what they do, it's not like they can't be multi talented, especially if their day jobs require a lot of smarts.

And just think about this nobody has more than 2 years of Evo X tuning experience so what's the difference. If they know their stuff and you are so confident let them have a crack at it.

Hey guys,

as goofy mentioned, we (at least i) almost exclusively post in the evom forum among other local forums (DI.net and RKC). this is the second time i've read this forum and the first time there was so little traffic i forgot about it. anyway, i'll make a point to read up here now and then.

about myself, i am a systems engineer (mechanical engineering degree). i have done controls work with an autonomous 6 wheeled robotic ground vehicle for the army, simulation work on an interceptor warhead (MKV program, shoots down missiles in space, recently canceled by DoD), and currently doing power grid research and development. i have some graduate level classes towards my masters degree where i got much of my experience building, designing, testing, and racing formula cars. i was mentored by a lead engineer of the new acura LMP engine design team, and honda IRL engines. also worked with an engineer from BMW sauber F1 aerodynamics team.

how much evo X experience do we have? a decent amount. we have tuned quite a few already, done many installs, and are developing our own parts for it. we are building a X motor at the shop currently that happened to be blowed up running an accessport with a protune, red, and various other bolt-ons (melted a piston). we also have an MR we have built with all the bolt ons, with a red currently. we are going over to a 35r on the car shortly with the new clutch plates coming in, it should be the quickest evoXMR in the region.

a vast majority of my experience is with the 8/9. i know this car inside and out, every bolt, clip, bracket on the car i can tell you were it goes. i've been doing the 8/9 for a good 5 years now, which was when i got mine new. there is not a thing i can't do with an 8/9 (which will be apparent when we start campaigning our new time attack evo 8). we work on more evo 8/9 then anyone in texas (at least i think so).

the X's most of the work is done by richard who is also a mechanical engineer, and also has formula SAE experience. he Drives an X, and most likely if you bring your car to us, he will be the one working on it. if you have any questions or want to see what we are all about, www.evodynamics.com (http://www.evodynamics.com) is our webpage, or stop on by the shop sometime. since your from san antonio, feel free to call!

one thing about our shop, we do it at nights and weekends. and because A LOT of people want work done, i am now scheduling way out in advance, 3 weeks right now, and everything is done by appointment only. i've overbooked in the past to often (which is why i think silicontek said to avoid us... if i remember i accidentally scheduled two of the exact same installs on the same day/time thinking it was the same person. one of them being him, my apologies).

I have heard nothing but awesome things about Kevin and his shop. I would love to get my new blouch and fuel comps tuned by him, but I hate driving all the way to dallas and then back. But as soon as it comes in I may make the trip.
