New Family of Sport Sedan Racers

BMW M3 Sedan – Mercedes C 63 AMG – Lexus IS-F

The war is on and everyone is chasing the BMW M3 sedan. The market for high-powered sedan cars is expanding and everyone wants a piece of the pie. Last year Mercedes and Audi dominated the market with the AMG C-Class and RS4, but now Lexus wants to join in with the brand-new IS-F and BMW has decided to re-enter the segment with the M3 sedan after taking a short leave-of-absence during the E46 platform.

Where the Lexus delivers +400 bhp, and the M3 420 bhp, Mercedes will give the new C 63 AMG a 6.2 liter V8 delivering as much as 475bhp. Although, Audi is still developing their next generation A4, the new RS4, which is normally reserved for the last year or two of production, is still several years away. However, the current generation in the form of sedan, wagon and convertible is still competitive and high in demand.

And lets not forget the sport wagon segment which is perfect for all dog owners and hobby gardeners in a hurry. The C 63 AMG wagon, which is in the pipeline, and RS4 are already well established players. Not to be left out of any new market segments so close to existing ones, BMW is expected to finally offer an M3 wagon.

M3 wagon? Wow.

Man, these cars are really well rounded. They'll carry your family, the groceries, and hang with a stock evo overall.

I still <3 the e46 M3 sedan. If the X wasn't coming out, I very well may have one of those.

Its not an LS. Its based on the IS and its more then sport tuned suspension.

I see I made that assumption based on the 8 speed transmission and engine size. I'm curious as to if they are going to change the ratio as to cut down on the 1/4 milie time.
