: running with no boost pill?

hey i recently had cobb stage 2 and took out the pill per intructions. but i lost it and now sold the cobb accessport and reverted back to stock tune. is it bad to run it without the pill?

On a stock tune I would image you will just hit boost a little faster and maybe spike past the stock set boost a little bit.
Really its probably a good mod for a stock car.

but im not stock. mods in sig. i just wanna make sure im not hitting something crazy like 28-29 psi

I would get a tune or another pill. You might keep popping SES's without it. I'd say if you are getting on it you'd be good without it while you wait on something else. I really think your intake pipe is more dangerous to run on the stock tune then no boost pill.

Yeah I missed the mods in the sig.
I take it you must have your O2 sensor in the CEL eliminator?
With that intake, plus having a test pipe you do stand a very high chance of over boosting and leaning out quite a bit under WOT.

Yea the o2s in a eliminator, oh ok thx for the info guys. I'm gonna get tuned soon so it shouldn't be a problem

ha, i was running w/o a pill on stock tune for a week. i hit 23 psi peak. after i put the pill back in i hit 24 all day. you actually loose power with it out on a stock tune. but i am not dataloging so i can't tell you if it came in any earlier. Refer to cobbs instructions on removing the pill for more info on why.

23 and 24 psi on stock?

Thats lots... it should 21 psi boost target.

Peak boost is 24psi stock, anyone else wanna chime in on this.

call a local shop or online store and tell them you need the pill that goes in the solenoid and they should know what your talking about.
