: Arizona Evo's - Dealership Experience, and Oil changes?
onyx1121 08-15-2009, 02:57 AM I haven't had great experiences with the dealership I am currently going to. I was wondering if people had a general opinion, or would recommend one dealership based on their experiences?
Secondly, for oil changes have you been doing them at the dealership? I pay around $75, which seems high given its only Mobil 1. I used to pay around $60 for Red Line in my Type-R, and the mechanic was honest enough I would give the guy my credit card and tell him to just charge things if he found other issues.
So I'm looking for some honesty and reasonable pricing. The current dealership I go to...meh, not so great, mainly due to the service and general incompetence, not so much the price I guess.

You must either be talking about BigTwo or Mark mitsu, both of which are ridiculous in every way, I go to bigtwo and they suck ass!! I just use Royal Purple and mobilone filter and spend about fity, and just have my boss print me up a foney reciept for warranty records....
irmerm 08-15-2009, 05:04 AM Sorry for being slightly off topic, but I just changed my own oil with Mobil 1 and walmart had the 5-quart on sale for $22.00. Cheaper than I thought. I don't like the idea of paying someone to put oil in my car, especially if it's gonna cost $75 (that would be $45 labor cost for 5 minutes of work).
GotBoost69 08-15-2009, 06:39 AM isn't there only like three mitsubishi dealers in AZ???
onyx1121 08-15-2009, 06:56 PM Ok guys, I appreciate the responses, but besides changing my own, I was wondering if anyone actually went someone that charged less than $50 for an oil change.
Yes, I can do it myself, but I'd rather just take it somewhere. Any reason a Jiffy Lube or something can't do it?

Not unless you want some kid fresh out of high school putting his grubbies on your ride!!!:freak:
Yxd68 08-16-2009, 12:56 AM I've heard good things about Avondale Mitsu in the West Phoenix area.
smdarkone 08-16-2009, 01:46 AM I'll have to dig up my reciepts from Avondale but I dont think I paid less than $75 for an oil change. I personally like going there and I don't get hustled around. Seem to be fairly mod-friendly but I also haven't had to get any warrenty work done yet though. I am due for one here soon and think I may go the way of my buddy ao47 and just doing them myself on base. I have a tranny fluid change coming up and will be doing it myself (with Mark's help if he is back in town)
Edit: I stand corrected, I paid ~$65 an oil change there
Yxd68 08-16-2009, 04:09 AM isn't there only like three mitsubishi dealers in AZ??? There's at least three Mitsu dealers in the greater Phoenix area, a new one now in Tucson and one in Sierra Vista. www.mitsubishicars.com has a listing of dealers.
