Enjoitk 08-24-2009, 03:23 AM does anyone know the difference between the dom 2.0 vs 2.5? i didnt even know there was a 2.5 until i saw it on some website. i tried searching for a thread about this couldnt find anything so sorry if this is some sort of repost.
meat_EVO 08-24-2009, 03:37 AM oh shit... the 2.5 is out?
go search NASIOC.com... and see what the difference is for the subarus.
wait till blouch releases the 4.0 it will kill everything avaliable.
Enjoitk 08-24-2009, 03:39 AM thanks ill check it out. but maperformance had it on their website just in case anyone wanted to know
Domo X 08-24-2009, 06:42 AM i hear a lot about this upcoming dom 4...when t3h hell is it coming out?!
on2it 08-24-2009, 07:02 AM has the the dom 4.0 historically been DD capable? or is this just a track monster?
Enjoitk 08-24-2009, 07:12 AM well ive tried doing a little research on the 4.0 from other car forums and it seems like its more of a track monster. i saw some dynos and the numbers are ridiculous, but you clearly saw the turbo lag
tildeathdouswhat 08-24-2009, 07:14 AM i tought blouch scrapped the dom 2.5 for the X awhile back ? unless they changed their minds? i havent heard anything different. to the OP i would go with the 2.0 or wait for CBRD's Dom 2x which is a upgraded Dom 2.0 that will have a slightly larger compressor and turbine wheel.
Domo X 08-24-2009, 07:16 AM some sites still have the dom 2.5 for the x for sale so im not sure if they scrapped it completely...maybe the halted production of it or just stopped producing it altogether...however, its strange, cuz some sites have the 2.5 for less $ than the 2.0 for the X
btw, i think the dom4 is out for the subies...but not the x yet...

Actually, I don't think they ever made one for testing. I did the testing on the Dom1 and wanted to do a 2.5 as well, but there were several fittings they needed off the stock turbo (needed to be modified = no longer work with stock frame turbo) that I could not get my hands on at the time. As far as I know, the 3.5 was never tested. I suspect they scrapped it when they found out garret was doing the 3071 and 3076.

47 lb/min? That's less than the Dom 2.0 52 lb/min
meat_EVO 08-24-2009, 06:12 PM oh yea, now that i think about it, the 2.5 has been out for a littlewhile. it was not a driect stock bolt up. It needed oil line relocation at first. maybe they changed that up.
but i know my red will make 500whp around 30psi, so im cool with that. Dont think i need anymore.

I agree, for a DD with an occassional trackday and dragstip thrown in a couple of times a year, 500WHP is moooore than enough.
