Hello everyone,
This problem has happen to me for the second time now different days. So Saturday after noon after parking my car outside for about 3 hours in the sun. I go to start it up and all i got was a very long start cycle then normal. Normally the car would just crank over(or start) as soon as i hit the ignition switch. Then this morning before church car was in the garage and it started with no problems. After church I go to start it up and it would just try to crank over but all i got was the starter going and going. So then about the fourth time trying to start it i just step on the throttle a little bit then the car started like nothing was wrong with it. The temp was about 97F and this time the car only sat in the sun for about two hours. So what can be causing this problem?
Car only has 3 thousand miles with no mods.
Thank you for your help and inputs.

This has happened to me a few times. There's no problem, your gas lines were just totally dry. A mere pump of the gas and you're good.

Dry lines? Um, no. The fuel pump turns on and primes the system the second the key turns the ignition on. We do not have carbs. Pumping the the pedal is absolutely not necessary in a fuel injection car.

I had a similar issue with my 97 GSX when the coolant temp sensor failed. The car had a hard time starting when it was warm. But, a CEL was never thrown so it took me a while to diagnose it. I'm hoping the X throws a CEL when something like this happens. But, it can be many things. Just take it to the dealer.
