ok i have been researching problems like we all do on our X's and i see the tranny clutch goes pretty quick then you upgrade that and the fly wheel(since your under there) .....then the master cylinder goes....then when your done with that, the extra grab from the clutch and stuff causes diff issues? what horsepower is causing the issues is it 350+ to wheels + launches.....or is it the launches that mess everything up? i see ryan gates has pretty high horse numbers and in the car bio all he has done is a clutch upgrade(unless im missing something, which i might be) is there any hope for those of us who want a mildly built X no more than a stage 2 AP tune to have a car that you don't have to spend another five grand in driveline parts? are these problems because of launching or just bad evo's?

Most high power AWD cars will have problems with the driveline if they are launched too hard/often. Launching an AWD car puts many times the stress on the parts as accelerating steadily while already moving. This is amplified by things like super sticky tires and high traction surfaces (drag strip anyone?).

so its launching that kills them not the power
Launching can cause a lot of damage. There shouldn't be any problems with the drivetrain if you're using it on a road track or autocross.

All auto-X I've seen starts with a launch so I dont know why people think an auto-x run is less stressful on a clutch.

You start from a standstill but you don't trigger the timer until 3-4 car lengths after the start and sometimes after a bend. You don't need to launch if you don't want to.
