Ok, so some of the kids tried to run/walk away, but this is just retarded.

I actually called in and told the operator that the officer involved was completely ridiculous. I can't stand how cities criminalize skaters.

You obviously know that I wasn't.
I'm not saying the kids didn't do anything wrong (I'm betting skateboarding is outlawed in that town...something in itself which is retarded), but regardless, he doesn't need to be choking out 12 year olds. He could have yanked them over, sat them down and leveled with them.
Because of this experience, these kids will hate cops (even the good ones) for the rest of their lives.

I'd love to see it, but no problem, arrest that one kid.
How about the kid with the video camera? What did he do that was so wrong that he was being sent to jail? What'd he yell at the cop telling him not to choke that girl?

Don't look to me to be even REMOTELY impartial. I've been a skater since 1984. I have had more needless run-ins with cops than I can even count. They're fucking WEAK, PATHETIC BULLIES who get off on terrorising kids who don't fit their narrow mindset of what kids "should" be doing.
If a kid did jump the cop, arrest him. No worries. You've got to be a retard to do that. But otherwise, this needle**** is OBVIOUSLY abusing his position. I hope the have his badge.

Being a skateboarder myself, I still don't know what the hell the big deal with skating is. I can see how they don't want you grinding down railings and what not. I'm not trying to say we should. But I know I've nearly been run down by an ******* on a bicycle in NYC and no one says shit about that. Oh well, I'll get off my soap box now.

i agree with you guys.. AND if they do care about people grinding down rails and fuckig up concrete.. they should give the guys a place to skate.. Louisville Kentucky made an AWESOME free skate park... it's open 24 hours a day and is really exceptional

There's a really nice skate park on my way home from work that I hit from time to time. I've busted my ass a few times there. I just wish it was lit so I can go later in the evening when the kids aren't there. There is also one in Tallmadge, not far from me. I guess they're trying to build one in Kent too.
I knwo none of you are familiar with the area, but these are towns that are <10 miles from me.

I hear you. I don't understand what it is that makes skateboarding inherently wrong in the eyes of law enforcement.
