The Ralliart lip seems to flow better compared to the shovel aero kit.

i like that one from the red evo looks better imo specially in CF.

Ralliart version looks to be a CF version of the same front lip kit on the first red EVO X with the factory kit....Just an observation.

really digging it, maybe that is what I will for the first mod

No..you wil get the standard lancer spoiler. The SSS adds a larger spoiler.

Open them both up in photoshop and put them side by side. They aren't even close.

It comes with a wing, just not the larger one from the SSS package.

I remember the wings of EVO past actually were functional...does the fact that its an appearance package now mean that its no longer functional?

If I had to guess, I would say they were functional. Guess we won't know for sure until we see wind tunnel tests.

The large spoiler option, which is standard on the mr, IS definitely functional. The mitsu engineers point out one key feature, and that is the different attack angles of the spoiler's central lip angle vs the outsides. It was designed in the wind tunnel to work with the grooves that run down each side of the roof, which channel air in a specific patern to the spoiler. The large spoiler is key to the handling balance of the car at high speed, and I think it's a crock that it doesn't come standard. They do that to make you get the SSS package, and to try to keep the base price of the car down as much as possible. Clever marketing trick. Actually, take off the clever part.

Regardless, the A11 SSS package is a bargain @ $2K.

Secondly, if I want the large rear spoiler - would I get that in the second package - since it lists an extension; my understanding is that you get the GTS-style spoiler as a default. Therefore, I'm guessing this takes the spoiler to the same size as the SSS package...but it's still a guess.

KMX, do you have any literature that indicates the difference between the two?

Looks the same to me.

I think #2 is for MR and #1 is GSR.... which is pointless, but they just seperated them.

Does any one know the dealer code for the factory lip kit? My dealer told me the 3 letter abbreviations of whats on the car i'm getting. He said the one was the SSS kit but couldn't find out what the other code meant. I think it started with an E.
