Do you have any definitive information about when the X will be hitting the dealer lots. I saw a thread on another message board saying that the X had cleared customs already and should arrive in the next few days. Can you confirm this? I think if this was the case, atleast the west coast would have them already unless they are doing alot of port work on them.

2. When the cars arrive at the dealership are they typically covered in plastic to protect the paint? I want to make sure that the dealer doesnt wash mine. I had a previous experience where they swirled up the paint real bad on my brand new car by using dirty towels.

:+1: on not getting it washed by the dealer. This will be especially important since I'm going with Phantom Black.

No license plate holes on the bumper either. :)

oh yeah...thanks for reminding me about the license plate holes. I was livid last time they drilled straight into the bumper on my last car.

The dealer that I am going through here in Colorado Springs has the first delivery being here on either the 19th or the 20th of this month, just a couple short days... First Evo in CO goes to this guy

1. Cars are being railed from Tacoma, east-bound. So western states will be receiving them first. My entry date of 2/9 is still on schedule.

2. I do allow people to drive their cars home with the shipping plastic still on. PDI on the cars usually involves drilling the front bumper, but I usually intervene for special instances.

Thank goodness I'm dealing with KMX who understands these things. The license plate spots on these are off to the left, correct? That's not such a big deal for me. But I guess nothing would be better in the front.... *looks at KMX* that part isn't that big for me though :P

I remember taking delivery of my own 05 when it came in. Made sure I was the one who took it from the storage lot, to the dealership and handed myself the keys. And conveniently forgot to put the front plate on. LoL.

Yeah no kidding... I was supposed to have it already, was supposed to be here this past Saturday, but the shipping got delayed :wtfsign:

I've had a deposit down on this car for four or five months now, the wait is aweful! But I'm sure that it will be worth it.:rock:

Mine's supposed to be in Feb. 10th, just talked to the guy today. Too bad thats a Sunday..... Anyway this is the hardest time of the wait, when it starts to get close and you just can't take it anymore. I try not to think about that fact that I was supposed to already have it by now.

Same here, my dealer said February 15th and they said the Base model will be $32,000 and the well equipped Evo's will be between $38,000-$45,000 (GSR's-MR's)
