So I got my AMS high flow cat on yesturday and this morning I got a CEL. I had the spacers from AMS but forgot to take them with me to the muffler shop. So today I put it on, and unpluged the battery in the trunk. Usually the CEL goes off for like 50 miles and if there still is a problem it will turn back on. Do I have to disconnect something in the engine bay as well?

Thanks

nope. maybe you should go to schucks or auto zone and use the code reader. See if its the cat. Im sure it is but its always good to know for sure. Plus you can clear it from there

If its the cat yes. When you get tuned the tuner can keep it form comming back

Then that will also allow you to clear the code

Ok, well I disconnected the battery again and left it longer and the CEL went off, so hopefully it stays off. Has anyone had anyluck with AMSs spacers

It's hit or miss with any of the spacers.

I've tried like 4 different spacers (curved, angled, right side, flip side, upside down, backwards, etc) in my test pipe and still get the CEL. I reset it every week or so, then check it when it comes back on to ensure it is, in fact, the O2 sensor code.
