Actually I do know something about this because this was the included information in the press release...for pre-sale info.

The model info from what I gathered goes like this.
Base GT-R
Nissan GT-R V-Spec (+10K) over base
Nissan GT-R EVO-Spec (+20-30K)

The Evo-spec is the 220lb lighter and 500+ hp one. Its also probably the one that actually runs the 0-60 in 3.5 secs and 1/4 in 11's

The reason I believe this is because Sportauto (the German magazine did already did there own independent test of a base GT-R and the best they got was in the low to mid 4s.)

weird, but one of the magazine or site (MT, R/T or edmund) went to Japan and test drove buyer's car, they got 3.3 sec from 0-60! (with launch control)

Perhaps I should rephrase...I will more firmly believe a 0-60 avg by collaberating all the times from other testers...Sportauto was the only one I know of that did a test which is why I mentioned it and when they did there Nurburg Run they were 10 seconds slower the Nissan tested time but chaulked that up to Streets tires as oppose to race tires that Nissan used...

However Im being optimistic as they never mentioned which drive mode they were in doing the tests. whether being in "R" mode, Sport, or Normal.
