I had a vehicle (not evo) stolen back in the 90's and it's taken me many years to get over the "violation" I felt when it was stolen, so that just killed me a little bit inside again. :confused2: Ever since then I've been driving pieces of junk (kia, chev cav, etc). Now, next week I'll be picking up my PB 09 EvoX GSR to join the evoxforums family! Woohoo. This is going to make me paranoid again lol.

Sorry, Just back from a long ass meeting. Just so everybody knows, there was lots of security video taken. The thieves wore masks and took 45 minutes to get this done supposedly. There ARE bricks you can't see. Police are looking into it. My wife actually saw this from the Metrorail station Monday and she was like WTF? "Is the economy so bad they are selling cars without wheels?" So we stopped in yesterday just to find out. And yes US1 and 86th street is the location so it is heavily trafficked. If anybody in Miami is offered MR wheels these might be them.

I personally would have jacked the brakes and rotors too. THose smaller pieces fetch a damn nice bit of coin.

BTW the replacement wheels should be in by friday and that silver MR is selling for 34K and change. So if anybody is looking...

Could they trace the serial number on the jack stands where the thieves got them and who bought them? I bet the store who sold those can trace it back to who bought them and they can start the investigation on that person. It can prolly be a stolen jack stand tho....

i dunno where you're from bro but in Malaysia its approximately 10usd in our currency. Its just a deterrent, professional thieves maybe need an extra minute or two. ha ha

I know people can still steal wheels even if they have locks on them, but why don't they put locks on at the dealer. They try to make you pay for paint and fabric protection, window etching, ect... So why don't they just throw a set of $30 locks on and call it a day.

My girlfriend and I were up on the north side of Indianapolis a few weeks ago doing some shopping. I wanted to stop by and see the new nismo 370z and there where two altimas that had were up on blocks...must be a growing trend.

This happened to me with my Evo 8 in 2005. Evos are attractive targets for thefts.

When I bought my 2008 GSR w/SSS new, it came with wheel locks.
