I noticed since I couldn't wash my car for around a month or so that when I did go wash it, there was a little yellowish (I have a ww evo) stain beginning to form. What is the best method to get rid of this and keep it off in the future?

An easy fix is to claybar your car. As far as keeping it off, there isn't any real way unless the car sits under a cover in your garage and you never drive it.

Once you claybar it, wipe it down really well then put a nice coat of wax on it.

You can either use the detailing spray included in a claybar kit or, if it isn't too hot outside and you find a shady spot, you can just use the water on the car after a wash coupled with re-wetting.

DO NOT USE TURTLE WAX ICE CLAYBAR.

i had a white civic si 4dr that had this issue. in addition, i was in san antonio just like you. i tried machine polishing but didnt help much so i left it as is. month or two later, stain disappeared.

oh yeah... clay didnt help.

Hmmm. I was hoping the clay would help. When I go home this weekend I'll have to claybar it and see. I have rubbing compound and thought I might try that. We also had a white 4dr si. Small world. I loved that car.

^I said not to use the ICE claybar. The wax sucks too, but works for those who don't have the time to really detail their car.

i had that happen too me with the carbon from the exhaust but i used degreaser and it came right out but you have too wash it off real quick because it eats the wax but i just wax the back after washing the car !

Won't that also eat the clearcoat?
