Got my evo yesterday. Luckily for me i went in on saturday and got financing approved, the dealership tacked an additional two grand on top of all later sales.

Here's the details:
Got a blue GSR with the sight, spoiler, sound package. Loving it so far, i've only got one pic (when it still had the plastic on it.) So when i get home tonight i'll take some more pics and post them here. Just wanted to say hello to my fellow evo x owners!

It's the basic upgrade package for the gsr in the states.


it comes with HID headlights, a 600 watt sirius sound system (with a sub in the trunk) with a 6 disc in-dash mp3 player, and the spoiler.

Yay it worked. There is the pic i took with my camera phone on the lot at the dealership. It had just gotten off the truck, you can see the plastic still on the top.

The blue looks dark in that pic. Is the color accurate in the picture?

How did it fare in the snow?

Congrats Qubit!!! The blue looks darker than in some of the pics... but it looks nice!

Out of curiousity - and I can't seem to find a picture that answers this definitively .... but on the driver's side fog light.... does the fog light bracket actually block the ... umm.. hole? (i.e. isn't that hole for air going to the front brake?)

it's a little lighter than the pic. It's about the same color as the wrx's.

it's awesome in the snow, of course my old car was a mr2 turbo. So maybe i'm biased. :) i'd recommend changing out the tires, but only because you don't want to wear those awesome tires down driving in crappy conditions.

I dont think so. there is a seperate vent on the side of the fog that allows air in (i think) i can double check later on.

BTW, I didn't know what exactly came with the US SSS package but now I know. I guess the air dam package is excluded from the SSS package.

The hole on the side of the fog light is to allow an air charge to hit the oil cooler that sits behind it.

Uh no, you could leave the stock tires on and not have to install chains :) However i'm going to put some snow tires on myself, just to be safe. I highly doubt even studs are necessary in this beast.

Yah blue was a popular color, and rare so far. If i had been 15 minutes slower getting to the dealership, i would have been stuck with the silver one. In fact, over several hours, there were probably 4-5 people who came specifically because they wanted the blue one.

Lol i remember i was outside talking with the salesman, when a car pulls up and two guys jump out. They start drooling over the car, exclaiming about how "lucky" they were to find a blue X. I had to walk over and let them know that it was already spoken for.

I got mine too and drove it home in the snow. Lets just say point it and it will go and go fast LOL. I did get it to do some donuts that was fun.

I paid $37,000 USD for my GSR in Japan with the High Performance Aero Pack (air dam package), keyless operation (smart key), window visors, and floor mats. This is including my $2000 USD discount I got from them.

Also note that the JDM model doesn't come with a factory stereo or speakers, they are optional.

It's not as light as BBY, but it's far different than the OP's pics. Look at Unowned's pics for a more accurate color of the car.
