: Converting a ECUflash Map over to Accessport.
dcasandman 10-09-2009, 09:18 PM I am about to to get a Ecuflash tune in Dallas next week. I would prefer to get it done with my AP, but the tuner I want to use only uses EcuFlash. For you super smart tech guys, is there a way to take my Ecuflash file and convert it to the Cobb Accessport. I really like how easy it is for me to plug in my Accessport and log or do what ever I need to. I know there are compact computers, but my AP just sits nicely in my console taking up little room. I am in the process of trying to learn all I can about Ecuflash, but I really want to keep my AP.

LVSBB6 10-09-2009, 09:27 PM Im going to do the exact opposite, from AP to Ecuflash that is. But its not a straight forward conversation as some of the tables are in different units I believe.

AND, while you are at it, if you can figure out the conversion factor AP <-> ECUFlash, you can just apply it to your cells in Excel, after which you copy it in your program of choice.

THey aren't inverted anymore, its cut and pate now.
Its actually pretty easy to switch them over just time consuming.

This was the old version of ATR, the new one is arranged like ECUflash for the axsis.

K but if I may suggest something, I don't know who you are going to for a tune but you should bring them a starter map to help speed things up and give them more time to work on getting your AFR's correct.
Bryan from GST and HiBoost have some great MIVEC tables that will help your Dom breathe better but I'm not sure how they would work with your cams. Could be worth looking into though cause the beneifit would be another 20+ WHP and faster spool.

They have them posted in several places, Bryan is really good about sharing information with the community. Also I think HiBoost has cams on his car with the Garrett 76 and it spools faster with the aggressive MIVEC tuning he uses. Bryan posted something here awhile back where he just tuned the MIVEC on a stock X and it made 30 or so more WHP just from that.
There is a lot to be gained from the MIVEC tuning so whatever you can bring them to start with would be a great help.

So why not boot up ECUFlash and read the current ROM on the car (which would have already been created with AP) and then save the ROM down to your computer..

That will not work; at least from what I recall.

Can't be done, when an AP is married to the car you can't connect to the ECU with other programs to pull it off.

When you have ATR open hit (CTRL+F) this will open the options menu. Under the display tab there are 2 check boxes, make sure both are checked and it will switch to standard units.
Clipse3GT 10-10-2009, 06:18 PM I tried to read my COBB map with my Tactrix 2.0 cable. It will not read it, gets an error stating that the ECU has been locked.

You can hook up your laptop with atr using the dongle that comes with the ap.
