I am about to to get a Ecuflash tune in Dallas next week. I would prefer to get it done with my AP, but the tuner I want to use only uses EcuFlash. For you super smart tech guys, is there a way to take my Ecuflash file and convert it to the Cobb Accessport. I really like how easy it is for me to plug in my Accessport and log or do what ever I need to. I know there are compact computers, but my AP just sits nicely in my console taking up little room. I am in the process of trying to learn all I can about Ecuflash, but I really want to keep my AP.

It is possible, but thats as far as my knowledge towards ECUflash to AP goes!

I betting you would have to go into APR and enter each individual section. I was hoping someone had a better way that maybe someone stupid like me could do.

Im going to do the exact opposite, from AP to Ecuflash that is. But its not a straight forward conversation as some of the tables are in different units I believe.

^^I just still want to use my AP. I have no issue tuning with Ecuflash. I just love how easy it it to plug in pull codes, log on a whim, and how compact it is.

There's maps that have x and y axis swapped...annoying as hell but easy to fix in Excel of course.

AND, while you are at it, if you can figure out the conversion factor AP <-> ECUFlash, you can just apply it to your cells in Excel, after which you copy it in your program of choice.

THey aren't inverted anymore, its cut and pate now.
Its actually pretty easy to switch them over just time consuming.

Hollywood I may get with you after I get my tune to see if you can walk me through it some.

K but if I may suggest something, I don't know who you are going to for a tune but you should bring them a starter map to help speed things up and give them more time to work on getting your AFR's correct.

Bryan from GST and HiBoost have some great MIVEC tables that will help your Dom breathe better but I'm not sure how they would work with your cams. Could be worth looking into though cause the beneifit would be another 20+ WHP and faster spool.

They have them posted in several places, Bryan is really good about sharing information with the community. Also I think HiBoost has cams on his car with the Garrett 76 and it spools faster with the aggressive MIVEC tuning he uses. Bryan posted something here awhile back where he just tuned the MIVEC on a stock X and it made 30 or so more WHP just from that.

There is a lot to be gained from the MIVEC tuning so whatever you can bring them to start with would be a great help.

So why not boot up ECUFlash and read the current ROM on the car (which would have already been created with AP) and then save the ROM down to your computer..

Can't be done, when an AP is married to the car you can't connect to the ECU with other programs to pull it off.

Dam so AP becomes completely worthless after I use EcuFlash. It makes want to go to Cobb for this reason, but Evo Dynamics is 500 dollars cheaper and I hear great things about their tuning abilities.

As for the conversion goes, I noticed the units of the fuel table are different between ECUflash and Cobb ATR. I believe one uses A/F ratio figures and the latter uses lambda values.

How do I go about converting the numbers over from AP to ECUflash map? Since 14.7 AFR = 1 lambda, isn't it just a linear relationship?

I don't know about marrying or unmarrying .. but I can download the AP basemap and upload a blank rom so I can start off ECUFlash .. is that what you're asking ??

When you have ATR open hit (CTRL+F) this will open the options menu. Under the display tab there are 2 check boxes, make sure both are checked and it will switch to standard units.

I tried to read my COBB map with my Tactrix 2.0 cable. It will not read it, gets an error stating that the ECU has been locked.

You can hook up your laptop with atr using the dongle that comes with the ap.

i got the tactrix 2.0 cable and its way way far way cheaper and better than my COBB which it will go the bin if not sold soon

Did you just copy the numbers from Access Tuner Race or did you actually read the map from the [locked] ECU?
