I feel kinda stupid asking this question but its been on my mind for a while. When u guys drive in manual mode do u let go of the gas when u shift like in a manual car? or do u shift while on the gas. As long as i owned my mr i got into a habbit of "Flat foot" shifting if u can even call it that on the sst but my question is.. is it hard on the clutch? i know on a manual it burns the clutch out faster but is it ok to do on the sst all the time ? i dont wanna be eating away my clutch due to a bad driving habbit lol

I wouldn't think that there is any difference whether you shift or the the computer shifts; pretty sure that is one of the advantages of having this type of transmission.

When I'm normal driving (I always use manual mode) I let off for the shifts, just to be 'easy' on the car. If I'm doing a fast run of any sort I keep the pedal down!

I don't know if it makes a difference or not that's just what I do.

I let off the gas, not completely though, just enough to open the BOV. I've found it shifts smoother and reduces compressor surge if I've already built up a lot of boost.

man when i get off the gas with no boost i get shit loads of flutter/surge/whatever u wanna call it:ghey:

while im on the subject is there any way to adjuct a bov? my ssqv i feel takes at least 3 psi to fully vent. anything under that just flutters

No you do not need to lift between changes, that is the beauty of having two input shafts and two clutches. The little plastic brain that makes all the decisions will do all the necessary work for you, you dont need to have any input there at all.
