: SSP EVO X TC-SST Transmission Build

SSP will be featuring several transmission builds over the next couple of weeks. SSP will be centering around clutch disc and steel replacement. Then we will turn our focus to the internal performance upgrades to take the SC-SST transmission to the next level. You will see real world transmissions being developed in this thread.

You guys suck!!! LOL, cant believe you pulled 2 off those out yesterday... Uhhggg wish you were closer. I think we'll have the motor out this afternoon. Since I saw these pictures I finally understand what you ment by leaving the pressure line attatched to the diff. I thought you were talking about the 3 bolts on a different part. I'll take some pictures of where I'm at right now and post them later.

Day 2 of the SST transmission build/repair. We have dismantled the entire transmission. You can see by the pictures that we have been running our NEW SSP PRO RED TRANSMISSION FLUID. The new fluid coats all the gear and internal parts. As you can see by the pictures the SSP fluid will lubricate internal parts significantly over the stock fluid.

Kris,

I dropped the X off at Sheperd Monday night. He showed me the parts....

All I can say is wow..... That Billet pan belongs on a museum shelf.... not on my car....

I am glad that you are happy with the quality of the parts. I spoke with John tonight and he said that they had the motor out of the SST in 3 HOURS. That has to be like a record or something. I thought we were fast having it out in 4 hours.

John is sending me pictures of the build tomorrow. I will get them up ASAP.

Hey Kris,

Pulled the motor and trans over the weekend. No record setting 3-4 hrs..... but it's out.
