I've recently installed aquamist and a red on my x. The cars making good power but the boost is stuck at 26 psi and duty cycle is at 100%. It does hold 26psi to redline. What would be the best way to hold more boost? 3port, EBC, or acuator? I have a forge acuator in the garage somewhere with a red spring. is this to much? Thanks for the help and yes I tried the search button, so much reading I as getting dizzy.

The Red spring will hold NO LESS than 29.59 psi, give or take a point or 2.
As far as being able to hold the boost the spring on the wastegate may not be the problem, its more than likely the bleed style set up on the stock system thats causeing you to crack open early.

Yes all the boost pills are still in the system. I was leaning twards a EBC that comes with a three port and a different actuator. I like the idea of switching from low boost to high boost on the fly. Will this work? And what should I do with the boost pills?

For right now just try removing the one pill from the boost solenoid line, that will help you get your boost where you want it. Lower your WGDC's before running it about 30% so you don't over boost and tune from there.

That being said the 3 port is also a great option and highly recomended for the Red.

Ok so I decided to go with a blue spring forge actuator and a hks EBC that comes with a 3 port good for 36psi. I'll let you know if it holds more boost next thursday.

Set it up for interupt and drop your WGDC's by 50% and go a tuning :rock:

I'm planing on a low boost setting of 23psi and a high boost setting at 30psi. Dynoing on thursday.

I would get the forge actuator and the ebcs at the same time and retune.

damn.... were gonna have to run soon. once i can keep my shit from fucking up.

and you NEED a stronger BOV. your stocker is going to weaken over time and start leaking.

^take it off and put in on backwards like me, boost should hold fine, maybe? lol
