Alright,

We are going to tackle this on the weekend. I have done one of these already, helped out(Farred) put his AMS widemouth pipe on a few months back, so I know of the headaches to come, but that has been awhile. Pointers from you that have done this, things you can remember to help speed the process up and keep from breaking bolts. I already got the top heat sheild off and one other bolt on top that looks to hold another heat sheild on, it was a 12 mm bolt, I can feel two other 12 mm bolts under the dp, is that it and then that sheild is off and the dp can come off? I also removed the 2 10mm bolts that hold the bracket over the CV joint.

We will be doing this with jack stands and will have air tools, but don't think they will help any due to limited space. Any pointer, shout them out.

If you are wondering, UR ceramic coated dp from(ryanowarrior) that is what is going in, plus I have the AMS front motor mount so I am not worried about welds cracking on the pipe, despite how weak they appear, there should be very limited movement on that pipe due to the front motor mount.

Also thought about collecting all and any good information from this thread and making a step by step how to.

Get some PB Blaster and soak the bolts on the turbo overnight.

haha who me?? na good luck Andrew just use patients man and since you have already done this it should go a lil faster this time. just took mine off this past weekend for like the 4th time lol. yea i dunno if i would use air tools or not, try not too. make sure you have a buddy to point you in the right direction from the bottom cause its kinda hard to get on some of the bolts when you cant see them. also i noticed this weekend when takin mine off if you take off the right front wheel and the inner fender it gives you some room there, maybe a long extension or what not. just like the others said soak the bolts overnight with the PB blaster try and get on the backside of the bolts where the threads are, thats where it really counts. and i took all my bolts out from the top besides the ONE bolt and nut on the very underside of the bottom of the 02 housing. make sure you have different types and lenghs of pull bars, extensions, and sockets. good luck my friend :D

Thanks for the replies so far fellas, I am going to try to document things a little better then the diy on the other site, I know about it, have looked at it and they leave alot of important details out, having done this once before, I know. There are two very important brackets that have to come out, or the pipe is a major PITA to get out and get the new one in. Keep the comments coming.

Well fellas, I decided to just let Cobb in Plano handle this when I get my clutch installed. I really don't want to break any bolts and with 13k miles on it, my bolts are on tight. It is eating up too much of my time and I have better obligations to my customers for fiberglass work!!!
