: I've joined the club
riceviper 01-25-2008, 01:03 AM Whats up guys, bought an evo x on friday (18). REally excited about it, and it is a great edition to our mitsu fleet. 3 vr-4's, a SL, 95 GSX, and now the evo. Anyways very happy with the car, the dealership screwed me though, but Im working on that. I also am waiting to here what it takes to put the nav system in the GSR, what parts, and how hard is the install. By the way if you ever go to reno, nv. There GM is a bunch liar. Dont buy from them. Other than that im happy, just needs nav and some wheels!!!!

Welcome to the club! I go to Reno about once a year for snowboarding in Tahoe. But I guess I'll never talk to a GM dealer there :p

riceviper 01-25-2008, 04:47 PM Im from wichita ks, my girl was on a nursing asignment there. The main problem was that the drilled that ugly ass tag holder on to the front of our new car. Then gave us a huge run around on why they couldn't fix it. Anyways love the car pics will be up soon.
Also would love to have the instrustion and part numbers for the nav system.

riceviper 01-26-2008, 12:24 AM I would like sometime this week get pics of all of my mitsu together. Though I might wait till summer, but I promise I will get some awesome pics of it this weekend of the evo.
Dan203 01-27-2008, 08:11 AM I'm actually down in Carson and was thinking about getting an Evo from Reno. (i.e. Allison Mitsubishi) However I've contacted them at least a half dozen times and no one has ever called me back. So I'm thinking about saying screw it and going over to Roseville instead. They called me back right away when I contacted them and have been very nice about answering my questions.
What exactly is this "tag holder" they put in the front of your car? Some sort of dealer logo? Or are you talking about the front license plate frame?
Also, FYI for the rest of you, Vegas is no where near Reno. Reno is way up North, parallel to Sacramento, CA. Vegas is about 450 miles South of us.

riceviper 01-27-2008, 07:25 PM Yes I', talking about the front license plate holder. If the put it on there will be four massive holes in your bumper. there about nickel size. So if you dont need your front plates then dont go to allison cause they are going to put that plate holder on.

Check the Evo X Electronics subforum...there's some threads in there.

I Nevada state law requires you to have a front license plate, so it wouldn't be a huge deal to me. Although I don't like the way it's off center on the Evo X so I may try to get it without the frame and just put the plate in the front windshield. (that's what my wife does with her Miata)
