2008 EVO X MR SST with ASC fully on and I am cruising and I decide to stomp on it in sports mode it builds boost for a second and then kicks in and I get the SES sign and the ASC turns off with the light indicator and will not turn back on. It seems to make a ticking sound just as it does this. I thought I was having engine knock, but my logs show none..just high boost of 28 PSI. The car seems to run normal after I let off the gas when it happens. I can turn the car off and back on to clear it. No CEL or CODES are present. Any ideas?

Sounds common then! Just making sure I haven't been beating my SST beyond it's capability. It's been running good since. I haven't tried the same type of take off again since but I imagine I will. I have no problem when jumping on it "Off The Line". I think the times I had it happen is when I was cruising in 5 gear around 3,000 to 3,500 RPM and then I floor it. It drops a gear and hesitates to build boost and then it takes off. It might have something to do with my CAM Timing Advance. I turned it way down in my cruising range. It doesn't pick back up until 3,500 to 3,750. Ha I may have just solved my own problem...haha
